2022 National Ag Day
Mar 22, 2022
National Ag Day was founded in 1973 by the Agriculture Council of America (ACA) with hopes to raise public awareness of the value agriculture brings to our society. The ACA believed Americans should appreciate agriculture for the various products it produces, understand how their food and fiber products are made, as well as acknowledge and value the role agriculture plays in maintaining a strong economy.
Every year those involved in the agricultural community such as producers, corporations, universities, government agencies, and many more come together to recognize agriculture's contributions to society. Modern farms feed an average of over 165 people, so their hard work and achievements must be recognized. And by raising awareness of the industry, more young people can be encouraged to pursue careers in agriculture.
So today, Sunrise Cooperative would like to recognize the men and women who continue to help feed the world. One season, day, hour, acre and seed at a time.
